I like these cartoons way too much...

I don't know what it is, but I just find Lobster the Lobster hilarious. If you watch these shorts expecting some sort of life-altering Flash experience, then you're missing the point. It's short, dumb, repetative, and done so very intentionally, which is why it's funny. You have to watch these things "ironically", as the hipsters would say.

But overall, keep making these things. Over the last week I've gotten used to looking foward to these every day when I come home, so keep em crude and keep em coming.

Good. Entertaining

A pretty solid movie. It was nice to see some original character designs, even though they were a bit cliched, and I like the fact that you seem to be setting up an interesting story instead of just making a one-shot deal. The animation however was less than phenomenal. It would've been nice to see more tweened animation instead of the primarily static character drawings that made up the bulk of the movie, but I understand that it's very time consuming to do so.

I don't think that the music was very well integrated into the movie. It started off as soft background sound, then stopped, then became hard rock during the battle, then stopped, then became more rock at the finale, then stopped. If you were able to keep music going continually throughout the movie it might fit better. And the "hard" music coming in during combat was almost comical. Try to vary it and not be so predictable.

As for the voice acting, I do have to say that it took away from the movie some. Beyond just the poor quality, the voices didn't seem to fit their characters much. The main character (Ruby was it?) was acted well enough, but the rest of the cast dragged the movie down. I realize that it's probably just your friends helping you do the voices, but you still hve to consider what impact they'll have on how the movie plays out.

Overall, though, it was good. I'd like to see shorter, prettier, better sounding instalments of this series continue to be made by you, since I think that AO shows lots of potential.

Irreverent...and in turn, funny

These Lobster the Lobster cartoons are so crude, but that's part of what makes them so hilarious. The fact that each episode is just a change of scenery and always have the same basic title and content is so reminiscent of many a crappy cartoon I watched growing up. I can't be sure if you intended these to be parodious or done with a winking eye, but they come off that way beautifully. No matter what, don't make these any prettier. Keep them simple, crude, repetative, and good for a few seconds of laughs.

And the theme song is pure gold. Even though out of synch, the "Click Click" just puts it over the top.

Cute? Funny? Full of gaming in-jokes? I'm sold!

This is probably one of the best things that I've seen here on Newgrounds. I love the fact that you have your own original characters, and am even more impressed by the fact that they're really quite good. They have unique, loveable personalities and they make for likeable leads to your shorts. I also like that this movie doesn't resort to the mindless violence that most entries here have to throw in to get a great score. I also marked big time for all of the clever game references you made, and I like that there seem to be multiple scenes that can play during the FFX segment. An excellent movie, and IMO, you should start up a Homestar-esque site and try to really do something big with your characters. You've got the talent and the humor to do it.
